I have a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertible that I am going through..... The usual stuff. Paint, interior, stereo, tires and 22" rims. I was thinking about possibly adding airbags, because I definately want to lower it. My question is this. What all would I have to buy to bag the front and rear, aprroximately how much would it all cost and is it all bolt on or is there cutting and welding involved?? If I choose not to bag it, what's the best way to just lower it?

Baggin aint cheap it cost from $3000-$4000 wit parts and labor

On thing id like to say is that if your gonna bag the car your gonna have to " c notch" the frame in the back so that when you drap the back down the frame wont hit the rear end. Now if you wanna do it old skool style, then just get some lowing blocks like 2 inches but you have to remove the leaf springs and take some leafs out.this will drop your ride. In the from if you wanna drop it just cut the coils.

If it was me id beg a ride. Hopping  a ride up and down the rear 1/4 panels wanna flex but cant so what happins is the 1/4 panels get little waves in the body from bouncing. Just run your hand over the rear 1/4 panels of any car thats a hopper or a dancer.

Any time that you build a hopper or a dance you have to box the frame. Boxing the frame means that you have to weld  steel from the front to the back on both frame rails. Lets say that you didnt box the rails and you hit the switches, the chevy is going bouncing and now the frame wants to flex and when the frame trys to flex then the body will also try to flex. Just measure the inside part of the frame rail and cut the length what you need and weld it. Do this to both rails front to rear.
