First off, i wanna say that I'm not a racist!  I'm actually half black & purtorican and I show luv to both my races.  The club I roll with consists of Blacks,mexicans,ricans and whites, they are all my brothers and I will luv each one of them till I die!!  With that said, I pissed off at LRM for once again robbing blacks of the rightufl credit in lowriding.  See I just recently picked up 30yrs of lowriding and the documentry (sunday driver) Both are great items to have in your lowrider library.  Now what brought my anger to this forum was if you notice in 30yrs of lrg they had the top fifty rides. Ok now if you all are really into lowriding then everyone reading this Should know the car (THE SANTANA) formally owned By GANGSTA the Majestics President of the Compton Chapter and also a black man.
The Santana was not among that list and that *** has gotta stop black have right there at the four front of lowriding right next to the mexicans and ricans. lets just hope with premedia runnig things now blacks will get there rightful due!!! put the color lines away and just focus on the rides, and taking over the world with thing of ours!!!

First off, who cares, its about the rides, and trust me, I have seen rides that would put that one to shame!  Stop trying to bring this racist crap up here.  Are you kidding?  Not getting credit..... We (Chicanos) invented it and never got credit.  lowrider was defined as a chicano mag!  Next thing you know you'll be saying that black people didnt get credit for inventing the light bulb.  you state that Blacks and Puertoricans should be in the forefront of the movement. do the math, look into the history of what lowriding is and where it came from and where it was popularized.

All racist have influenced this car culture. However the biggest most recognized influences have come from the Mexican-American/Chicano culture. This does'nt mean other did not play a roll in it.

Remember whites invented Basketball, but in the last 25 years it has been elevated and recognized as a Black Sport.

Sorry, '68Luva, but I believe the opposite. I feel that LRM gives a bit too much attention to other subcultures that have very little or no association to the orgins of low-riding. While African-Americans are due some credit for popularizing the motor sport, most recognition should go to the Chicano community. Fact is Chicanos are the sole innovators of low-riding. Other ethnic groups caught on at a much later time.

I quit reading Lowrider Magazine about ten years ago for this very reason. Around that time I began feeling alienated by the magazine's over-use of hip-hop jargon in it's articles. With all due respect I simply just cannot relate low-riding to any other culture outside the American southwest.

Out of all the things that were written, to say that “Lrm sold out and they should have just kept it an all Chico mag and just deal with it” I feel was an ill thing to write.  However, that’s your opinion and I just want to let yall know that I still have luv in my heart for yall.  See I was taught to luv thy brothas and even thou we all come from different backgrounds, we all have one thing in common?  Lowriding  See the life of  lowriding, is not just about cars, that’s part of it.  Mainly it’s about family, familia however you want to say it.  It’s that bond that you share with your blood peoples & the guys in your car club.  In some cases you got more luv for your club brothas and that’s how I feel and I’m sure there are thousands out there just like me who feel the same way.   So to you and everyone else who lives lowriding, I want to say: I luv yall.
See I grew with Blacks, Mexicans, and Purtoricans and the only color I pay attention to are the colors on all the low low’s scattered across the world.  Think about it who would have ever thought that this thing of ours would be world wide.  Now that’s la raza.  My only point that I was trying to make is that LRM at times can be one sided when it comes to rides built by blacks that’s it!! I would never take that away from the Chico’s you’ve earned that credit and its well deserved.  I would sometimes just like to see the top notched rides that you never see, but are built just as good as the Chico’s rides get in the mag that’s all.  To the guy who said that blacks are selling out to Donks, that’s like me saying all Chico’s sell fruit!!  Ill right
