I have an 81 Monte, and the car runs, but it sits on the floor and the switches need a lot of work.  Does anybody know a way for me to get it off of the ground to move it?  I heard that you can put a piece of wood somewhere under the car to give it some height, or somebody told me that if I put stock rims and tires on it that it would give me enough hieght, but I'm not sure how true any of that is.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

What's wrong with your switches?

Both motors need to be replaced, all of the solenoids need to be replaced and by now the batteries are probably all bad too.

I started the trunk on fire last summer and didn't want to put the money back in the switches with winter coming.

Now I want to take the car to the lowrider shop for repairs but it is literally on the floor, so I can't drive that far with it.

without fixing the switches, you can swap the springs out for some that is taller. this will bring the car off the ground.. it's always nice to have enough spring in your ride, that even if the hydro's are not working, you can still drive it home..
