Does anyone know what I would need to do to change a 64 impala's front drums to disc brakes. I was told that I can interchange parts from another vehicle. Does anyone know what vehicle.

This would be helpful for me to know as well I would like to put a set of performance disc brakes (like brembo) on my impala, but research shows that i need at least 15" or 17" wheels,
And I would lik eto keep the wheels nice and small at 13"

Corvette from 1966-1982 are inter-changeable, but like the last post said you have to go to 15inch wheels

Every kit I have ever seen requires you to switch to at least 15" wheels. Brembos typically require at least 18" wheels, due to the HUGE size of their calipers.
If you want to stick with 13" wheels, I'm sure you will need to stay with drum brakes. You could upgrade your drum brake shoes to high-performance shoes offered by Praise Brake Dyno: http://www.praisedynobrake.com/index.htm
Otherwise, the following vendors offer disc brake conversions for your '64 Impala:
ECI Hot Rod Brakes: http://ecihotrodbrakes.com/early_chevy_discbrake_conversions.html
Stainless Steel Brakes Corp: http://www.stainlesssteelbrakes.com/
Inline Tube: http://www.inlinetube.com/

Performance Suspension: http://www.performancesuspension.com/

You can buy disc brake conversion kits for your 64. I bought my kit from Classic Industries. The kit comes with everything u need and runs about $900. I've also seen some conversion kits on eBay too.

the kits on ebay say aftermarket 14-15 inch rims but as long as you got 13 inch reverse you'll be ok
i just ordered the rear kit to go with my front kit conversion .. from matts bowtie customs
now as far as other car for a swap .. theres some years of caprice but it is not a simple bolt on conversion ... you got to cut out the lower ball joint area and weld on a collar for a press fit type ball joint ..now as far as tie rods and upper ball joints i have no idea how that is handled
i do know it gives room for more coil and looks as if you have more extension .. i think even the spindle adds almost and inch of ride hieght

I just recently converted my disc brakes. the caliper bracket attached to the existing drum spindle. It was pretty straight forward. I saw a instructional disc brake installation video at http://www.mbmbrakeboosters.com/Tech-Support/MBM-Disc-Brake-Kit-Installation-Video.html It helped me out quite a bit. Hope that helps.
