Hey Guys, I'm TOTALLY new to the lowrider scene - its not exactly a big movement in the UK and I'm struggling to find any helpful advice this side of the pond. Basically I'm converting an old 1967 ambulance into a pimped out retro camper van. I've just lifted the body off and rolled out the chassis ready for stripping, galvanizing and then rebuilding with completely new components. As you can see the bus sits pretty high with its standard leaf spring suspension and it wasn't until I took the body off and sat it on the floor in my workshop that I realised how fresh it would look if I had the option to hit a switch and make the thing sit low! My question is, are there any kits/packages that you would recommened I take a look at to build into my bus? I don't want the thing to be able to bounce down the street but I'd like to be able to arrive at a destination flick a switch and let the bus drop down low. Is this possible? Any ideas, web links and advice would be very much welcomed! This is what the bus looked like when I bought it:
