I've held my words for too long, and felt that it was time to speak out on the negative aspects of your magazine, first off, let me start by saying that i have been a huge lowrider enthusiast for over 20 years, I love the lifestyle, and i appreciate the art, commitment, hard work that goes into building a rolling piece of artwork. I stoppped purchasing and even attending your car shows for about 8 yrs. now, and it's not because i stopped liking the cars or because i "grew out of it", it's was purely for the fact, that everything you stand for, is purely that of ignorance. You say you are all about the community, well i think you need to give yourselves an award for turing a blind eye, all in the name of making a quick buck. I can't believe that you give awards to known drug dealers, almost as if saying " Here you go, all that drug money, that your making,.. we appreciate it, thankyou, for poisoning our youth, and giving them a good example to follow..." It's sad that you guys stoop down to that level, and don't say you don't know, cause you know you do, it's obvious, When you have a 20 Yr old. "bricklayer" driving around in a 60,000 dlr car, and dropping over 100k on a lowrider of the year, come on.... and a club with members that"mysteriously disappear" for long periods of time, and nobody knows where they are (la pinta). Truly is sad that you as an established formerly respected publication would turn a blind eye to this, and i say this not to "hate" on certain clubs, because i use to belong to one of those clubs, but because you won't do anything about it, you support there cause by cheering them on and giving them prizes and awards.I have been down a long bumpy road, and i to mysteriously disappeared for a strech, but even then, after i came out, one thing still hasn't changed..... your magazine..... sad.

Man, I thought I was the only one who found it to be just wrong. Good hard working dudes with families to feed are just not able to drop that kind of cash to get on the cover anymore. The only part of the mag I like anymore is the readers rides section. There are not enough how to in depth articles, just 80 pages of ads for wheels that no lowrider would ever put on his ride. They need to change the name to Gansta Wannabe Bling Blang magazine.

LRM is now far beyond a joke. I myself quit buying this mag back in '96. The references to urban culture have got to go, it has nothing to do with our traditions. I've been surrounded by lowriders the entire 29 years of my life yet have never lived "in da hood". LRM has sold out to every chance they've had.
