I recently purchest a 90 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with hydraulics and have noticed my front struts are warped outward where the mechanic had welded the cylnder to the strut.  My car is front wheel drive so this is a very serious problem.  Should I recut and re-weld the struts and add support bars??? or should I buy new struts and take out the hydraulics???  

...any suggestions?
