I have a 77 Mercury that I would love to put hydraulics or airbags on to raise and lower. No hopping or competition stuff. Just cruising in the Central New York summers. There is no lowriding being done here in Syracuse, NY so I have nobody to ask for tips or assistance. I see the 79 Lincoln and know that that is what I want to do because my Cougar is the same car. If I can get this done I can start the revolution here in my area.

I have a friend in town here he has a 96 cougar it looks sick on air, one thing though i have air on my 91 town car and i thought i would mostly use it for different looks at car shows and stuff but that wasn't the case once i got them in i NEEDED to play, if i was going to recommend anything to you for just going up and dropping it I'd personally go with air ride hydro's are AMAZING for hopping and three wheeling. If your going to lay it down I wouldn't go to fancy tho I'd go with a simple set up 5 gallon tank 1 or 2 compressors and dual billo bags with 1/4 inch lines and valves, i usually recommend a 3 gallon tank,a single compressor and single billo bags but your car is ALOT heavier than newer style cars that want to do the same, you could go with the 3 gallon tank and it would be ALOT less tempting to play with but sometimes you want a little play, that would be my personal opinion as an air ride owner. o and I don't think i'd go with digital air I'd just do it simple with a mini switch box like my own. ttyl

Hey whats up Im new to the syracuse area and I brought my bagged 63 bel-air here to Syracuse. There are NO lowriders around here at all and when I take my 63 out I get more looks that I ever did in south fl where im from.I have seen about 5 bagged trucks around here and a few imports with air cylinders. But not one car that was done like a lowrider let alone juiced!I have built many lowriders and I miss the sport around here as there is none.My car is currently in storage where it will stay untill the snow finally goes away.Wich really SUX!Anyways it would be great to see other people bring my way of life up here to the frozen northeast! check my car out at www.myspace.com/bagged63
