I bought 100 spoke California Wheels with 155/70R13 whitewall tires for my 2004 Hyundai Accent. Hey Ese is Old School. Anyways its developed a slight problem that when you reach about freeway cruising speed the steering and sometimes the whole car shakes more than it should. Is this normal for spoke rims to do this? I know if I had bought D's I would probably not have this problem, so any suggestions as to what I can do? Thanks.
Did they get balanced? If they did have it redone. It's not speed that kills, it's the stopping part!
I never had a set of 13's that didn't vibrate at freeway speeds. It's normal. I've never had daytons so I can't answer that one.
got balanced twiced and it really didnt work still the same.
if its normal for it to vibrate is there anything i should be worried about then? in other words is it safe to continue driving it like that?
dude take them off.. I ran Wire on a Hydia. That *** lasted about 1yr. I got tired of rep[lacing inner and outer bearings.. They also break spindles.. I had a Elantra.. Best to inport those cars out.. Put sum nice sports on them and a big pipe.. Too much repair work for spokes!!!! Ya I'm a Black cat with a juiced soccer mom mobile. so what!!
there is too much offset. you are putting too much pressure on all your steering/suspension parts. its a leverage thing.
