how come i never see that bodystyle deville built as a lowrider? i see the fleetwoods all the time. i was planning on buying a '98 deville this weekend but if theres something wrong with the suspension that makes it not good for making into a lowrider then i dont want it. is the suspension of the deville and fleetwood the same? i just want to lower it a few inches and put some daytons on it, would i have to put the funny looking civic daytons on it or something?

A deville is a fwd unibody vehicle with a transverse 4.6L northstar. Yeah, its a big honda. But you can still play with it. Standard offset 14x7's or 13x7's seem to squeeze in the rear with only minor difficulties( possibly none). But you will have kiss deepdish rims goodbye. But I'd go for it, they make very nice cruizers. Just don't buy one with an oil leak. Its Bad Business. Very bad.

standards are still reversed but the dish is not as deep, 14x7 works well 13s are pretty tuff to get on

I don't think 94 and 98 are even the same car. I thought they changed it 96 and went fwd. 94 to 96 were rwd with an LS1. Or am I wrong here?

1994 to 1996 Deville's = Same series/ 1997 to 1999 deville's = Same series. Both are 4.6 northstars and fwd's. 1993 - 1996 Fleetwoods are rwd and full frame. 1993 has a 5.7 TBI and 1994-1996 has the LT1.

That does look real nice. I just don't like fwd's. I've owned one and it was a free car.

well i got my car, its a 1997 deville concours.
i went to the local wheel shop today and the guy there said a 14" standard wont fit over the caliper. maybe the concours edition has bigger brakes, or maybe the guy didnt know what he was talking about. i dont trust that place but i live in a small town so its the only custom wheel shop in town. he said reverse offset wheels wont pop out and 14" 72 spoke daytons with whitewalls would be $2,500. he didnt have any in stock and i would have to buy them before i ever got to see how they looked on my car. does anyone know if the reverse offsets will tuck? if not i'll just get 17" standards.

Your right, that guy has no fucin idea what he's talking about and 2500$ ????? that is pure insanity. Your best bet is to mail order. Hit up scoob and he'll get you set up the proper rims and clear up any other questions you may have. Reverse off-set will stick out by about 2-3 inches.

Whats up snoop i read what you wrote to fool about fitting 13x7's on a cadillac deville, well you were right 13's dont fit.I got a 99' cadillac Deville D'elegance, I bought some 13x7's off the streets they're reversed deep dish it seems like the front brake calipers are hitting, since you own a shop i would appreciate it if you would recommend what to put on there i want as close to 13x7's as i can i dont know you've probably putlots of rims on cadis, maybe 14x7's but i want them as deep dish as they get/fit do yo carry daytons in your shop if not what kind do you sell and whats the price on the daytons and or the ones that yo sell I want chrome or daytons with gold plated hubs ,nipples, spokes. You would have to ship them to Atl.Georgia.Thanks!
