I have a set of 14x7 deep dish knock-offs that I want to put on my 95 Eldorado. Since the wheels are for rear-wheel drive vehicles, and the car is front-wheel drive, will the wheels still fit and drive properly? I have seen deep dish wheels on FWD cars before so I was wondering if they caused any drivability problems.

yes with some manipulation they will fit and drive nicely!!! you may need to take a grinder and some time to do it!!! so be patient!!! Scoob would know a lot more about the process but i definitely know its possible!!!_ chris

As long as you have the 15 hole five lug adapters, they will fit with no problems but they will stick out of the fender wells at least 3 to 4 inches. That means rolling up windows through every puddle and no one gets to ride in the back.

Thanks for the info. I have the right adapters to fit on the car. What's this about grinding? Will the wheels fit right on there with out ANY level of modification or will I have to grind something off/down? And why can no one ride in the back?

i meant as far as to make sure the wheels don't rub no where when you turn or what ever!!! put the wheels on and check for clearances!!!! Just a word of caution I was sitting at a light one night and a dude came along side me with these deep dishes on his accord!!! i guess his unibody was tweaked because his rear wheel caught the bumper on my 79 regal and [censored] up my bumper and tore his rear end all to *** I wouldn't personally recomend them just because they do stick out so far!!! but to each his own!!! and be careful!!!! _chris

With 14' rims no modifications will have to be done. No one can ride in the back because the wheels will not be completely in the wheel wells. They will stick out. So if you have weight in the back , your fenders will hit the tires over bumps or turns

I finally put the spokes on the Caddy! I think it looks bad ass. The wheels dont stick out as far as I thought, but they do hit the fender if the bump is big enough, which sucks. The wheels/tires lowered the car about 1.5 inches or so and the wide white walls set if off! I LOVE the way it looks, but I don't think I will keep them on there because the rear tires sometimes hit the fenders, and I can't turn the steering wheel as far because the tires rub against the inner fender. Damn it sucks! because I got people looking at the car everywhere I go. I'm in North Carolina where this type of car with this type of wheel is really only seen in magazines and tv. The car is like a celebrity!
I think I am going to get some standard 18" knock offs with 225/40/18 tires. The overall diameter is about the same as the 14's so it will keep it low like I love it, and hopefully it will drive like stock. I will try to take some pics before I take the 14's off and post them so you guys can check it out ad let me know what you think.

I'm sure they would fit better. But I want some spokes and the FWD wires don't have a deep lip--they really have no lip at all. I love the deep dishes! Standard RWD's aren't really that deep either but they do have a 1 1/2"-2" lip and look 100% better than the FWD--in my opinion. Maybe I should just air bag the ride and then I won't have to worry about bumps. But I don't have the money right now so I guess I will ride the stocks for now.
And if I decide wires just aren't for this Caddy, then I'll get some nice 5-spokes. I got an '85 Monte SS that'll wear those deep dishes with pride!

yeah you could bag it!!! or you could have the spring that are on your ride right now stretched!!! so the car will sit higher!!!! or put heavier springs on it so that your car will ride more rigidly and you won't have to wory about bounce to much!!!! but if you gonna put bags you might as well go all the way and reinfroce the frame and thorw on a hydro system!!!! thats just me though!!!! or you could even take the ride to a body shop and have them pull the fenders out or modify them so the wheels will tuck!!! of course that would mean the cost of the job plus painting!!!! theres lots of options it all depends on what money you got and how much of it your willing to spend!!! _chris
