...and want some advice.
I wound up in this site cause i really like the magazine but always tought having such a fine car was out of my reach,im from Puerto Rico and at least where i live i dont see such fine cars like the ones in the magazine, much less a sweet 63 or 64 Impala which i recently declared my dream car, well i was driving in my toyota .8 to get a new windshield when i see this freakin 63 Impala parked there with a "for sale" sign on it,i was *** exited!the sign says it's got a repaired motor, new transmission, electric roof and i dont remember what else, they got me at the "repaired motor and new transmission" part, the thing goes fo $2,700 bucks which yeah it may be a little to much for a lower middle class citizen that works at mcdonald's such as miself but it certainly isnt out of my reach. I wanna know from people who know these cars what to expect from them,i wanna know if it's a reliable car because i dont wanna have it just for luxury i wanna be able to go to far away places without it diying on me and it's a car id like to have for my entire life,so i pretty much wanna know if a car that old is good for anything else other than just looking good, thank you
p.s. oh yeah i also wanna know if it drains to much gas, that's important

There are so many other questions that need to be answered first. Do you have your own family (wife and kids) that you are providing for? If yes this car will take away money from your pocket. How old are you? I have noticed I get pulled over more when I am in the Impala some times the cop just wants to find out about the car. Do you have a daily driver? Do you have a place to keep this car? I want to tell you (really badly) to jump on it because it is your dream car but think about things around you before you jump into a situation.

I agree. If you have the means then get it. You will want to keep your Toyota for a daily. The Impala will use to much gas and you don't want to put the stress of daily driving on it. You also need a safe place for it and money for an alarm as soon as you get it. I bought one of my dream cars, barely had enough to get it, but I bought my 81 Coupe Deville. Two weeks later it was stolen, the same day I went to buy an alarm! I got it back pretty messed up and can't afford to fix it back up. I don't want the same to happen to you. Good luck.

well i have a girlfriend and we're thinking about getting married, she says she doesnt want me to get the car cause she dont like it and says she wont get in it with me,screw her then, nah but seriously i may get married this year or i may break up so im not sure about the family factor. As for the age well im 22 it's true i may get pulled over more often(then again my current car is so busted up it looks like a gangbang vehicle) I was thinking about getting rid of the toyota as soon as i got the chevy,i don't like the sound of not being able to put too much stress on it and that it spends to much gas ![]() and no i don't have a safe place to keep the car, altough i live in a relatively safe neighborhood, there's a lot of nice cars here and not a lot of steals as far as i know, but i will DEFINITELY get a alarm and maybe a gun too just in case. And CoupeDevilln that's really [censored] up what happend to your Coupe Deville, hope you can fix it some day.
