I've always like older cars my self simply because they were different then most *** on the streets now!!! you can get a mercedez and it don't mean *** theres to many of them but if your rolling around in an older car whether its loud and fast of low and slow you get noticed!! plus you feel a sense of like " Damn, I built that *** ya'll!!" Everybody around here wants an Escalade with spinners, and unless you are a crack dealer you can't get one. So everybody does *** like put 22 inch spinners on 86 Caprice's.

I don't like going with the crowd. I want to be different so that's why I want a classic lowrider.

Well  comin from a SUV owner.. I never was into big rims.. I built the motor and other stuff before it was a big deal.. I always get points for the motor.. I like HP and the big bus can move when I hit the gas..

I know their was a all black buick Regal 87 or so here in Clovis it had 26's that made it stand about 5 or 6 feet off the ground.  why do you want wheels that you have to cut the fenders and get rid of the fender welds just to fit some big ugly ass wheels.  I'm sixteen fricken years old and i want Old School cars with 13's or the 57' lancer Hubcaps no 2005 escalade or some crap ass new car.  if I were too become the Mexican President I know I won't be driven in a limo I'd be driving myself in a 58' Impala with switches and 14' Daytons.  And if you want to argue about new cars virsus old cars bring it.    

I like both.. I have a lot of durn kids so i needed a hooked up wagon.. Now in another 20 years i will get somthin just for me.. But I got to look good at all times..
 

lol big and fundi i get you both!!! but why not take the money your spending on those 28 inch rims and put a supercharger under the hood or maybe something to make the suspension stronger or even a nice assed paint job!!! Big assed wheels take the attention away from the body( where its supposed to be) and take your eyes right to the big shiny wheels!!!  now on the other hand i can see maybe a set of nice 18's on a SUV in my case a chevy suburban i wouldn't mind!!!  BUT ANYTHING OVER THAT IS TO MUCH!!!! it slows your vehicle down off the line( unless you change the gear ratio in the rear end) and it slows your braking time down crazy!!!  I like my shits to grab and grab hard when i step on the brake peddle!!  and i know you can upgrade the brakes but again  maybe out of those upgraded brake you'll get stock  stopping distances??  so you just spent like 4+ grand on tires and brake upgrades to make your vehicle stop in the same distance as stock!!! now i know 18's slow the stopping time and off the line times but not enough to be a killer!!!  and a brake upgraded will not me stopp better then stock still!!! You know? or maybe im just retarded lol BUT WHY?  _chris  ps i didn't mean to write a novel here lol  

Ya i hate big rims.. i had a truck and thats what it is.. The only thing I needed was a charger..

Well 69 special I was brought into a family that was never a lowrider family and when i got my firt lowrider mag it was the one with Evil 63' and I told my dad I want to turn my Monte Carlo(which was my dads at the time) and his 53' troka into a lowrider and he disagreed and said if you wanted to ruin 2 original cars go buy your own.  and ever since big rims came out it was like and is still like why would u do that to good cars.  when big wheels slow you down and probaly break your axles.  

i don't think lowrider kills old cars pull the cyclinder and pumps out and weld where the cylinders went through the sheet etal and its pretty much stock again except of course for them sick assed show cars lol but thats a diff story!! Chris

true!!! i like chevies more for the motor!!! and the styling most of the time is better as well but i wouldn't mind an old galaxy or a old continental!!! of course with a chevy motor between the fenders lol!!!!but yeah i'd say chevy kicks ass 99.5 % of the time!!!!  _chris
