I have found a few car clubs that are around my area seem like good people and stuff but heres my pedo... some of the members of said car clubs are from local area gangs.. not that i have a problem with gangsters or anything i know a few, but i don't want to have to worry about my affiliations when rolling through another barrio, you know?  and also being harrassed by the cops they enjoy it to much, the harrassing part lol. i mean i love the atmosphers around the C.C meetings and gatherings and things but i mean i got to much going on in my life you know?? so this is why i am thinking about rolling solo and just knowing people and maybe going to the car shows and things you know?

The reason i worry about it is about 10 yrs ago my homeboy across the street got shot up and his friend was paralyzed    
i don't need that trouble, tu saves?    

Am i just being paranoid, or does this stuff not happen often enough to worry about?  i would like you know the family thing but not so much the gang thing!!!

Go with you gut.. You cannot come back from the grave.. Its not worth it.. I do shows and parking lot pimp every once in a while ( wal-mart ) or carwash for a ten miute spell.. When I see *** comin I move and go ...  I hate trouble follows our hobby around and cops put us all in the same boat.. The same goes for enemies.. they think U with this person and thats a bunch of crap.. I would not put my self in thst sitation you never know what they have in their posession either... You all will go down town no matter what..  

Lowriding came from the neighborhoods. No matter what car club you join (in the southwest), you will have at least ex-gangsters. The cops will always treat us like dog *** no matter what. This ill treatment has been going on since the 1950's and will continue on for generations. It's part of the program and there is nothing politically we can do about it. People have been trying for decades to stop the harrassment and its like talking to a wall. My advice to you is to join a car club that has multipul chapters. This will ensure you are in a club that is not related to specific neighborhood. As far as cops, when you spokes, you will have to deal with these guys the rest of your life  

Aight, cool!! you brought up something i didn't even think about: the fact they could be holding something!! So i think ill shill with other dudes i know who aren't from any barrio but who love cars like i *** and maybe drink a beer or two!!!  good times right!!!  yo i gots to say I love this LR message board ya'll have helped me a *** load al ready and im still learning keep it Grindin'!! Ya its cool to hang but you got to use sum common sense.. i like pimpin too but if I see a blunt head coming towrds me them I just go the other way..Most of the time if you look honest and about the sport thats what you will attract..  

make sure you join a positive club thats number 1 the cops around here love clean lowriders they'll give you the thumbs up but if its a bucket that looks from the bad part of the hood your gettin rolled on. But lowriding is on the rise corporately you see them in commercials movies videos etc. almost mainstream, ya know? just at that point where its about to be trendy as hell  

And like the Veterano said join a club with multiple chapters that way you know your not joinin some fly by night ***  

yeah join clubs with chapters except here in clovis there are no clubs only hot rods and about 10 lowriders

nah i don't think its about to get trendy any time soon because kids today would rather by something slap rims on it and be proud of it that way!! there lazy for the most part!! and old cars to them are YUCKY!!! and CRAPPY!!! they all want bimmers and Big Macho Women "bmws" lol its crap now lol but who cares lol I like them and if others don't its to bad que no? arrato vato, Chris  

Its getting popular all over the world right now. Every time I roll I inspire kids I smile throw them a peace sign and hit a switch and they are like   and there all still and then about a half a block up I look in the rear view and there all   jumping up and down and dancing and *** Its great that the sport is finally getting accepted  The youth is really into lowriding today compared to any generation. So now the enthusiasts are ranging from young kids to adults in their ageing years.
