hey wassup,i gotta buy a car soon and im a big fan of lowridin', problem is i dont have money to resurrect a classic car, so i was thinking of buying an 03' impala and start workin on it. What would you think if i try sittin' it on wires and try workin my way up???

a classic car might be more reasonable to purchase than an 03 impala

how do you figure?, arent classic parts rare and much more expensive?, besides i'd have to spend a assload of time on it, i go to school, plus i work two jobs, thats why i need a fully functioning vehicle as soon as possible without having the thought of it breakin' down on me.

i consider a classic something at least 25 years old

i am in love with 71, 72, 73 impala and caprice
you can pick up a fairly rust free one between $2,500 to $ 6,000  for a sweet one

your talking disc brake up front not drums

fender skirts

350 engine minimum  or 400 sb  0r 402bb  or 454 bb

350 or 400 trans

so now you just bought a 72 imp skirted , 2% rust, disc up front, 400 sb, 400 tranny , rear drive  american classic in my mind

say $500 for 13" wire and tires

or $ 1500 for 22" wires and tires

so now you have between $3000 and $7000 for a mint big body
wired up

that it way nicer than any front wheel drive 2003 impala

either way all you got to do to a 71-76

is

new
battery
belts
hoses
oil change /filter / lube
new gear oil and gasket in rear end
drop tranny pan clean, new filter , new gasket , new fluid
we just put on new wheels and tires
maybe brake pads and shoes
new front and rear shocks
new fuel filter
new points and condensor, or hei

so you are talking about $ 500 for new parts to make car dependible

so now i have you in a classic with new wheel new tires and tuned up AND depenable for around $7000 to $9000

hows that

looking way better than a 2003 impala with 13's

take a peek at my rides
1996 impala
and 1995 deville

you can get a 96 instead of 2003

than you have a 350 rear drive instead of a v-6 front drive

now 96 is not really a classic but soon it will be
