has anyone had any problems with rims such as daytons due to the "knock off" style mounting? and does anyone know of wire rims which bolt on directly without having to use the knock off? i was advised they may be unsafe and may come off but i cant see putting anything else on a cadillac fleetwood...HELP!!!

I've had daytons(14x6,reversed) on my 96 brougham for 6yrs and never had a problem as far as coming loose! Just make sure you mount the left adapter on the the left side and the right adapter on the right side! After taking my rims off for any reason I'll drive a couple miles and check them just for my peace of mind.Later and cruise on

i do not want to prove that the person is wrong until you tell me who told you
maybe person is close to you and i do not want to offend that person
tell me who and i will tell you why it is wrong

homie i got spokes,if you take care and check the tighness of the spoke ur good. its not unsafe just have them mounted on tight. i have only heard of the tires poppin out because people at tire shops dont take time to make sure they are tight.GO SPOKES!!!!

Got question for anyone out there. I live in NM and cannot find anyone that knows about repairing a wire rim. I have a 84 Rivi with 16" Player 100 spoke wires, I have a few of the spokes are loose, i havent had luck trying to tighten them and i'm looking to find a place I can get the rim repaired. Any ideas, or am i better off buying another rim?
