Just wanted to notify anyone who maybe thinking of purchasing rims to watch who you're sending your money to. I was basically ripped off when I sent a deposit close to $1000 to www.dubempire.com better known as Solona Tire and Wheel. I had ordered a tire and wheel package which I was told that the store had in stock and was told to send a deposit by Western Union and pay the remainder C.O.D. once the wheels arrived. To make a long story short, the owner didn't send me what I asked for. When I didn't accept the package and called the owner. He stated to me that he couldn't get the rim I asked for and he thought the one's he sent me looked better instead. When I asked for the return of my money or the wheels I ordered he refused. So, now I am going to sue the company, because I have no wheels and I'm out of $1000 and to make matters worse I'm located in Maryland and Solona Tire and Wheel is located in California. This company is advertised in the Lowrider magazine, so Buyers Beware!

I think that lowrider magazine should monitor these rim company's that pay so much for advertising and then proceed to rip people off! Maybe that would be a good way for LRM to cut back on what some reader's call "too much space wasted on wheel ad's" Maybe have a "lowrider better business bureau" This message board is a good start. Good luck with "suckempire"I mean dub empire

with respect it is really difficult to put the responsibility with the magazine
they can not police the people that pay for advertisiing in their mag
i feel for the guy who has no money or wheels
bait and switch tactic is not new, or new to the wheel market
it has been going on a while
in the future re-search who is legit and who ain't
the responsibilty lies with the buyer
basically i THINK this guy put $1000 in the mail to send to a stranger because he took the add for true and belived what he read at face value

I was ripped off March of 2008. I ordered a set of 20's from TIRE EXPERTS......... I was quated a total price of 850.00 dollars shipped. so, I western union 400.00 dollars. then I called these guys for tree day before I could get someone to give me a comformation number. at that time he also told me the balanced due onarrival of the whells and tires was 950.00 dallars, I asked why, he to ship the wheels would cost 500.00 dollars. they got me to cancell the order. so they could keep my money. 3 weeks of calling and getting no one on the phone, I then called the Sacramento CA. Shirfe Dept. they called Tire Experts, shortly after they called me.I later receivec a check for 225.00 dollars as refund. I from Long Beach CA. anyway I thought about driving back out there and driving up to Orangevale CA., walking in and asking for my money in person and handeling up the way I used to. the truth is these guys dont know when they are going to screw someone who dont mind going the extra miles to put it correct.IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
