Marco,

I would like to start by saying that I was really excited to hear that there was a new editor for the magazine. I was hoping for new a new point of view and the magazine to turn around and inspire me and others again. The over all quality of the magazine is good but the first issue left alot of us wanting more. I read the editorial and understand that this first issue is a beginning point for maybe you or your staff and some members of the audience. My only hope is that you dont follow the footsteps of your predecesor and lead the magazine into something it is not. Many of the readers have noticed the decline in the quality and content it the last few years. I honestly dont understand why members of the LRM staff have not contributed to improving the magazine. LRM has progressed nicely just like Lowrider Arte and Lowrider Euro or whatever it is called now. LRB has been left behind and hopefully you can bring new life. I know that you must constently recieve emails or suggestions on how to improve thhe magazine. My goal is to share with you the opinions of my peers annd myself.

Thanks.
Raul A.

Same worries and doubts here...thats one of the reasons why I hesitate to do any new articles for the magazine. Other reason is that I still didn't receive any copies of the issue with the tech articles I did for free and I'm tired of asking over and over again I mean c'mon thats the least you can do for me.
I have a lot of very nice and cool ideas for the magazine's model car section. The experience learned me however that there's no way you can make a creative, high quality magazine when you can't reward/ compensate the people who do the work of writing articles and making photos. The first 3 times are cool but after that point you start realising how much time, effort and money it takes to make these articles and this really can't be done for totally free.
I really hope you guys at LRB are going to use all your creativity and passion to make this magazine as good as it can be.
Good luck!

Guys,
Thanks for the posts here, I apologize for my absence here, but when I am stretched between LRM, LRB and the new LRM calendar as well as my own personal projects, well, it's hard to be available to you all; this includes my family. As for Jevries comment, since the shift of staff as well as magazine stock even I have a hard time getting back issues. MANY of the old issue were tossed out of our local wherehouse and I myself have an incomplete library of LRM & LRB mags. As for tech ideas and such, remember I only have TWO issues per yer. Nearly impossible to serve the LRB community, but like I mentioned in my editorial I will give it my best shot and try to see where we can take this book. Yes, LRM is the "Mothership," this is our primary workload, but LRB will get love, even if from only a handful of people. Maybe we can get more content happening on the LRB site. I say you make some noise to the Online crew who handle these sites. Give them an earful, they may just surprise us all.
Happy 4th to you All,
Marco

Hi Marco,

First of all thank you for your reply. It's a pitty you don't have a copy of that issue I'm reffering to.
Not to sound rude butI think you hit the nail on it's head when you state your stretched between LRM, LRB, the calender and your personal projects. For me personally it's seems very hard not to say impossible to get all these things covered and still giving it my fullest attention...it's inevitable that some of these thing will slip...that is what I saw happening with LRB the last couple of years.
But then again, since there are only 2 issues per year it should be possible to make a mindblowing magazine with all the suggestions you receive and along with that an up to date website...so go upstairs and give the online team some noise your the new captain on the LRB ship!
I wish you and the rest of the LRB staff all the best I trully believe you'll got love for LRB I'm looking forward to the next issue!
